New Delhi Triathlon Championship 2016
In NDTC, our goal is to provide the international level experience to all Triathletes/ Athletes.
New Delhi Triathlon Championship 2016 is an initiative of East Delhi Ryderz (EDR), the group is determined to encourage all fitness enthusiast to come forward and test their preparedness for various sports activities including Cycling, Swimming and Running. NDTC was actually born, after having hundreds of feedbacks from such sports enthusiast.
Following are the primary details about the event :-

My BIB Number : Type of Bike - Road Bike/MTB/Hybrid : Size of Bike : Availability Options (As Per Requirement) : On the Race Day at Event Venue or before the Event Day for Practicing and all.
1- A reasonable rent been charged for per bike (Good Condition) (Rs..400-600 per day).
2- All bikes are meant to be First cum First Basis. (as availability of road bikes are LIMITED )
3- An original photo ID for security is must required. ( No Photo ID- No Bike.)
4- All bike meant to be on the availability conditions and participants have to carry his/her own Helmets and spare tube and all.
5- This is not a order form.
This is a physically demanding event and could be affected by extreme weather. By entering/ registering the competition or event, the participant/competitor is confirming that he/she is capable of completing the event and that the organisers will not be held responsible for any illness or injury that may occur as a result of their participation.
What do I need to take part in a triathlon race?
For your first triathlon you do not need to invest in any specialist kit.
The essentials are:
Swim suit/ goggles A road worthy bike / helmet Shorts,socks, t-shirt and trainers
What is a race packet?
A race packet is your formal race number and any accompanying goodies that come with it. This race number is how the race staff and safety personnel keep track of you on race day. Your number needs to be visible throughout the event. You will be body marked with your number, you will be given a number to wear on the front of your body on the run and a helmet sticker to wear on the front of your bike helmet and your bike number on your bike center or seat post.
When can I expect my race packet?
The race packet announcement will be done 20 days before the event date. And it will be collected from the camp-office in-person. If you are out of town participants then it will be send you by Reg. Speed-post (Indian Postal Services). And it is free of cost.
Can I have a friend pick-up my packet for me?
No, all athletes must pick-up their own packet and show a photo ID along with a copy of bib confirmation e-mail at the time of delivery. Out of Town participants are out of this clause.
How early do I need to arrive at the race site on race morning?
For duathlon events we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the race start. For triathlons one should require body marking and staging of equipment, we recommend arriving 1 hour prior to the race start. But that info will be posted on the event details page and will be communicated via the pre-race email confirmation.
I signed up to race but could not attend the race
. Can I still receive my medal and shirt?
As this is a championship and one must have to be a part of it on the race day to earn the medal and certificate. The T-shirt is part of your race packet which given to you at the time of bib-collection.

Can I wear headphones during the race?
No. It is against rules to wear headphones or any type of listening device during any part of a triathlon/duathlon. This is a DISQUALIFIABLE OFFENSE and offenders will be removed from the course and the results.
Can I wear wetsuit during the swim?
Yes, you are free to wear swim wear, wetsuit or tri-suit.
I missed any race stage of my category then should I join it after finishing my rest?
No. It is not allowed. You must have to clear all the race stages according the race format and it should be start to flag off allocate to the event category you going to participate.
I lost my chip during the event. Will I still have a finish time?
If you did not have a timing chip on when you finished, please report at the volunteer or race staff nearest after the finishing point. So the timing staff can research your missing times. Information that is helpful in aiding us in finding your time is the actual time of day that you finished. The time displayed on the finish line clock if one was present, and letting us know the names or bib numbers of other finishers that finished is close proximity to you.
What is Transition or Transition Time?
The section/duration of the race you will pass through after the swim and before the run. It is also where you rack your bike and leave essential race items such as your cycle helmet and shoes. The transition time will be added in your total time taken in race and play a key role towards the position/rank you earned in your race category.
If I am unable to stay for an awards ceremony,
can I have a friend pick-up my award?
Yes! We prefer your friend claim your award at the conclusion of the awards ceremony. Just have them report to the awards presentation table as soon as the ceremony concludes.
I need to cancel my registration, what do I need to do?
NDTC has a no refund policy. However you may be eligible for a partial race credit or event transfer. Please visit our termsconditions page to view the options available.
Where can I find results / certificate/photos from a race I competed in?
The results will be posted on the website www.newdelhitriathlon.com . Only registered members can see the results, respective certificate and their photos by entering his or her bib numbers.
