The Sunrisers Hyderabad are ready to join the Battle of the Bats scheduled to begin with the commencing of IPL Season 11 in April 2018. The Orange army which has been a strong contender to all teams in the previous 10 IPL Seasons, will once again enter the home ground – Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal on 9th April 2018 against Rajasthan Royals, under the captaincy of Light blue eyed Kiwi Cricketer Kane Williamson.
Kane is one player whose name comes as a warning to even the top IPL players. The Right-handed batsman has a calm demeanor which rubs off on his team mates. Kane is one of the very few batsmen who combines orthodox techniques with brisk scoring.
Along with Williamson, Right arm medium fast bowler Bhuvaneshwar Kumar who forms the crux of the Sunrisers pace attack is also a part of the team this season. Kumar has been the go-to man for Sunrisers Hyderabad & his ability to bowl at the death while absorbing pressure has impressed his fans in the previous seasons. He is also feared by most opponents as he possesses the purple cap. And this year too, Bhuvaneshwar is in no mood to let the cap fly off his head.
The SRH squad, this year, also includes left-handed opening batsman and occasional right-arm off break bowler Shikhar Dhawan. Shikhar has in the past stunned observers with his strokes. His powerful batting and great fielding skills will prove to be an additional advantage to the orange team.
While Williamson, Kumar & Dhawan are 3 fear factors in Team Sunrisers Hyderabad, the team also includes many more players who have already started giving sleepless nights to other teams. Unlike previous ones, IPL Season 2018 is a season to watch Live at the Stadium.
The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium is the principal cricket stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana, India and is the home ground of the Hyderabad Cricket Association. It is located in Uppal, an eastern suburb of the city. It has a capacity of 55,000 spectators presently with a maximum capacity of 65,000 and extends across 16 acres (65,000 m2) of land. The ends are named Pavilion End and North End. On the retirement of VVS Laxman, the HCA decided to honour the state hero by naming the North End after him.
