About Kaveri Pushkaram
Kaveri Pushkaram is a festival of River Kaveri that normally occurs once in 12 years. This Pushkaram is observed for a period of 13 days from the time of entry of Jupiter into Tula rasi (Libra) Pushkara or Pushkaram: Pushkara means the one who nourishes or purifies. Lord Vishnu is called Pushkaraakshah means the one who nourishes. In traditional astrology, there is a word called Pushkara Navamsa, the place where planets get nourished. A lake with the name Pushkara exist in the state of Rajasthan, India where we can find sacred temple of Lord Brahma. According to ancients, Pushkaram means span of 12 years. Trip Schedule: -
12/Sep/2017: Start to Bangalore around 8pm. 13/Sep/2017 : After Reaching Bangalore around 6.25 board to private bus and drive to Mysore.
Break fast at 8:00AM in the middle of journey
Reach Mysore at 11:00 AM and check in hotel for fresh up
Followed by lunch at1:00pm after lunch
Visit Mysore palace from 3:00pm to 8:00pm
Visit Chamundeshwari temple in the night,
After temple visit overnight stay at Mysore. 14/Sep/2017: After breakfast checkout the hotel and drive to Srirangapatanam. After Reaching Srirangapatanam have a holy kaveri pushakara bath
After holy dip In Kaveri River Visit Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple and later drive to Bangalore drop at Railway station and board the train.
