‘The Bikerni’ was kick-started by Urvashi Patole in January 2011.With the help of a few dedicated women, the foundation of ‘The Bikerni’ was laid in cities all over India. The mission of the same is to create an equal platform for women motorcyclists and to empower women all over India in the area of motorcycles. The members of The Bikerni have a number of records to their name and are well respected in the biking community as the front-runners of the women motorcycling movement.
The Bikerni is the only group from India chosen to be a part of Nokia Mobile's worldwide United For campaign which will be released in April 2017.
Since 2011, IFRD has been celebrated by all the city chapters of The Bikerni across the nation.
This year we would like to invite the Women Bikers from all across the nation to celebrate IFRD on May 6th in Hyderabad for a special Midnight Ride to add to showcase that the city is safe for women adding to the recent listing of Hyderabad being best liveable city in India.
